Gavin Rulon star of the upcoming “Shoki’s Bag” preformed at the Circle City Socialites Roller Derby on Saturday June 20th. Children of all ages were amazed and awed by his 6 feats of strength.
In front of a eager crowd, Gavin bent steel bars, rolled frying pans, bent horseshoes and drove a nail through a board with his hand.
The script asks for a mythic black ooze to be inside the bag that Shoki carries with him. We need the ooze to be practical as well as CGI. So the Interns at the Karmic Courage Production office did some tests with green ooze that we can chroma key to be any color we want and black ooze. her are the test pictures.

Our very own star of “Shoki’s Bag” Gavin Rulon, will be preforming a strongman show June 20th at the Hamilton County 4-h fairgrounds. Check it out. Kate Chaplin and crew will be there filming the event!!

A section of the “Shoki” script was read at last night’s Indy Writers’ Group meeting. I’ve been struggling with the scene between Nix and her father The King. Something about it is off. So I enlisted the help of the fab IWG and they provided great feedback and support! Thanks IWG! You Rock!
Went to check out Turkey Run for possible locations for “Shoki.”
I took lots of photos not sure which area would work best what which scene. There were so many amazing spots that would make great shots in the movie it’s going to be hard to pick.

This fall/winter, Karmic Courage Productions is beginning principal photography on a motion picture entitled “Mythic Waters: Shoki’s Bag.”
The film stars Gavin Rulon and is being directed by Kate Chaplin.
We are currently looking for interns to work with the production, and their duties would include: answering phones, filing, running errands, photocopying, and generally assisting staff members with whatever needs to be done at any given time. Part of the intern’s day would also be spend on the set in a capacity yet to be determined at this time.
We are looking for team players who are self-motivated, quick learners, organized and good at follow-through. We want individuals who are good at following directions, do not mind long hours and understand the concept of paying dues. The ability to get along well with others, multitask and know when to ask questions is important. Interns should have cars that are in good working order and auto insurance; and they should know their way around Noblesville and Indianapolis. Previous experience is not essential, but enthusiasm and a good attitude is.
This internship would afford students the opportunity to become part of a feature film production and to interact with industry professionals. It would be a tremendous learning experience and a potential connection to vital contacts and future job opportunities.
Our production office are headquartered at 1393 Wayne Street, Noblesville, IN 46060, and we will be filming through spring 2010.
